One Altar

There is only one altar, all worship there and all worship returns there.  The ineffable God has no name.  The inconceivable God cannot be represented by any image.  The unfathomable God is the same throughout the faith traditions.  Hinduism's Brahman is Buddhism's Buddha-Nature is Judaism's YHWH is Christianity's Father is Islam's Allah.  The gods of the polytheists denote aspects of the God.  The core tenants of the faith traditions are the same throughout.  The details that the faith traditions disagree over are irrelevant.  The God has no name or image, as it contains all names and images within itself, thus all names and images ascribed to it are valid.  Name and image are worthwhile only insofar as they are useful.  The tree is known by its fruits.  If you have picked a path preordained by others, know that all other paths lead to the same place.  If you wish to progress beyond these preordained paths you must forge your own way.  There is no way but yours.  Worship no idol, suffer no intermediary and abolish all dogma.  Let the sacrifices you make be personal ones.  Let the rituals you undertake be offerings of Love.  Let the worship you exhibit be expressed in compassion.  Let the world be your temple.  Let your human family be your congregation.

  2. I have been trying to find the best way to say this and putting it in words that are very important to my heart and soul as I read it I find that it is very familiar to me as well as it should but it’s the first time I’ve ever read it and have never heard it before so how does this sound like it is known to me I believe it’s just that it is the way I feel and I think that everything I read is written by someone who has a Passion for truth and I believe it is the way I am understanding it.
